How to Use
Grind saffron stigmas using a mortar and pestle; you may add a pinch of coarse sugar for better abrasion. Dissolve the ground saffron in about 2 tablespoons of hot water to release the color and aroma. When dissolved, add to your food as desired.
Alternatively, steep saffron stigma in hot water (between 160° F/71° C and 170°F/77°C) for about 15 minutes. Once the liquid has changed to deep orange color, you can add the saffron to your desired recipe. To brew tea, steep the saffron along with your choice of tea and damask rose for about 15 minutes in a covered cup or teapot.
